I stopped after work at a park I have hunted pretty much. The weather was beautiful and with the growth down I just wandered around enjoying the colorful foliage and fresh air.
I ended up hitting a spot neither Nate and I had previously detected. From the finds it appeared to be the site of a 1960's clam bake. I found clam shells, foil, a silver plated fork, beer can lids and period coins.
Although not that old it was cool to put back together the event that generated the coin finds.

Road trip with Dan
Dan and I hit the road today. We were in search of some new sites and had at least 3 old abandoned/torn down school sites to hunt. We ended up hitting two schools from the twenties, two from the thirties and one from the 1800's without much to show for it. Still was fun to be out and hitting some new spots.
This site would have produced more if the dozier hadn't recently pushed all this clay over the original ground.
1923 but not a lot of land.
