On earlier hunts in August I concentrated on the old Sledding Hill:

Since it has been heavily hunted mostly lower tones remain. Three Buffalo nickels in one hunt is a nice take:

Another hunt with Dan in August yielded a couple more silver. There was one spot that Dan and I discussed. I told him we never really found anything in the spot but he proceeded to go to it. I tagged along and ended up finding a Barber Dime within 20 feet of where he was hunting. He was not very happy – especially since he didn’t find any silver that hunt.



Finally, near my work is a site that dates back to pre 1874. It’s the same site that I found a civil war token back in the spring. It’s really overgrown now but I still found some interesting items:
